moving horizons was created over a span of 8 years and is a video art gif collection about life cycles and leaving things behind, seen through snippets of a road trip taken with my father and my two cats to move me from lala land to nyc in the summer of 2015 and layered with CCO pixelated gifs.
playing with the parallax effect by holding my iphone on the edge of the window, the bounce of the car created separation and shake in the footage. i then effected the video with filters that no longer exist thanks to updates in editing softwares. on top are CCO gifs that have been further effected and pixelated.
thanks to my daddio for driving the car, and to my cats, puppet and boo for meowing the whole way.
